Mental Talk – Peer Support Group: Online Learning Effects on Mental Health

Because of the COVID19 pandemic we have entered a time of online learning, kids are interacting with their teachers and classmates through computers, parents are holding online meetings from home. A lot of things changed within a matter of weeks and that sometimes tends to impact our mental health. Join us for a peer support group in which we will talk about how has this new normality affected us, how it can affect others, and what are some strategies to deal with these.

About Mental Talk: Good Mental Health is all about talking, sharing, and listening to one another. What better way to share life experiences in a supportive peer and topic lead group. Topics will range from work, family, caregivers and life balance, meditation, chronic pain, self-care, stress, racism (Transgenerational Trauma) depression, and more. Mental Talk is for someone who believes peer mental health support is important. This group is open, honest, and willing to share in a supportive environment. No judgment. Always kindness.

Providing Interactive Support and Services

Mental health touches a variety of groups and backgrounds. Our goal is to make life easier for all individuals and families dealing with mental health issues during stress and crisis during our COVID-19 times of Social Distancing.

We use Google Meet and can hold 100 people but most likely meetings will be between 5-25 people. Best experience using Google Chrome Browser. Check your computer audio before workshop times for the best results.
